Hello OCBF Staff,
The Executive Team and I miss being with you in person, and we pray that you are well. The work of the ministry continues, and we deeply appreciate your role and efforts in keeping the ministry functioning at a high level. Our impact to our members and community is visible and profoundly felt by many.
Governor Abbott issued a new order on April 27 to safely and strategically open Texas in stages beginning May 1. Our plan is to remain closed and evaluate by May 15 where we are with the opening of our church facilities. As we plan to re-enter the workplace, our goal is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
The Executive Team and I are taking this time to plan for the future in light of the new reality in which we find ourselves. We will carefully review all aspects of our organizational and programmatic structure with the goal of increasing efficiency, productivity and safety in addition to creating new and innovative ways of streamlining our programs while expanding our impact.
We will provide you with updates as the plan to re-enter the workplace progresses. Please carefully note the following:
- All employees will be paid their regular salaries through May 15. The Executive Team and I will reassess employee compensation for the remainder of May.
- Normal compensation for May will be tied to you working and making yourselves available when needed, including your attendance at all meetings via video conferencing.
- All employees are expected to be working and performing their assigned duties while our campus is closed.
- Please continue to follow CDC guidelines to protect yourselves against the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
If you have any questions regarding this information, contact your immediate supervisor.
“We encourage you to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
