Remembering our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans, December 1, 1949 - December 30, 2019

Thank you for loving the Evans family, and thank you for your ongoing prayers.

We absolutely adored our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans. To our church family, she was a loyal friend, a devoted sister, a wise mentor, and a spiritual mother. She was our example of faithfulness and obedience to God’s Word and His ministry. Our collection of photos doesn’t come close to conveying the full impact Sister Evans had on the life of our ministry.

Feel free share your thoughts, prayers, and love below.
Thank you for your prayers.

Mrs. Evans: I learned many years ago that GOD is A good GOD. Even in times when I could not see HOPE, I learned that hope is wrapped up in FAITH, and that “FAITH is the substance of things HOPED for”. I believe, also, that ‘healing’ and faith walk ‘hand in hand, while trusting in GOD, who is the author and finisher of our faith. May God continue to wrap you and hold you in the aura of HIS love. while His healing power envelopes you.
    Praying for you:

  • CHRIST JESUS; Our Hope!

The LORD has His eyes on you!
In His heart, HE feels your pain!
HE knows everything you are going thru,
Hears you call on Him again, and again!
HE has seen your faithful walk thru life,
How much you hold your family dear!
GOD always hears the cries of the righteous,
And reaches out to wipe away our tears!

Since before you were born, HE has known you,
And set into action His plan,
That you would soon be joined to a loving husband,
And that together, in His name, you would stand!
HE’s the almighty protector; the great provider!
There’s no task that HE cannot achieve!
    Knock, and HE will open; seek, and you will find Him;
Ask Him, and you will receive!

    There are limits to what a man can do;
    Many things we cannot understand.
Thus; we seek first GOD’s righteousness, and His kingdom!
We place our lives in His powerful hand!
In our times of weakness, HE will give us strength!
In our distress, the LORD will give us peace!
No matter what ails us, HE is able to heal,
And cause all of our troubles to cease!
    ———-(Jeremiah 33:3)

We love you! Get well! Trust GOD!

You have inspired me since 1989 and have been a role model for me, even though you have not been aware of it. Your love of God and your family has always been on display. As someone recently said in another context about how our appearance affects others, you demonstrate your love for others by never letting your appearance become a stumbling block for others. I am one of the many individuals whose lives have been touched by you. Thank you.

Mrs. Evans, in your quiet time please reference these two individuals, the information was truly healing for me. Dr. Josh Axe and Jordan Rubin allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. They are biblically based, and their information is truly from the WORD. I hope this information blesses you just as it has blessed me in my journey. The LORD has delivered me from a Heart Attack and Congestive Heart Failure, HE is Truly a deleiver if we submit and follow the guidance of the Counselor “The HOLY SPIRIT”

Again I know this is a lot to read but this is what I was prompted to write.

Love you, keep smiling remember who you belong too.

Cancer sucks. I know because I have it. But there is something else I know, our God is greater than cancer. Sis. Evans I am praying that God will choose to heal your body and restore you. When I came to Dallas 14 years ago I was a broken Preacher’s Kid. My faith in marriages had dimenished. I watched you and Pastor Evans and so many members at OCBF exemplify what love, relationships and community looks like. Every time I see you and Dr Evans together my heart smiles. Keep up the fight (as I am doing). God’s got you. You remain in my prayers . Much Love.

  • Pat Jones says:

    Dear Sis. Evans,
You are daily in our thoughts and prayers. We are asking the Lord for complete healing for you, for His kingdom purpose and His glory. I have been reflecting this morning on Psalm 59:16-17, joyfully proclaiming His lovingkindness. For He has been our stronghold and a refuge in the day of our distress, the God who shows you and me His lovingkindness. So we’ll just soak up His lovingkindness for today, one day at a time, and wait in great anticipation of what He will do on tomorrow!

    Love,
    Pat and Ray Jones

  • Sophia Wilson says:

    Dear Sister Evans,

My family and I will continue to lift you in our prayers. I know Jevohah Rope our Healer will provide you healing, comfort and supernatural strength during your storm. Remember according to God’s word: You bore all of my sickness and by your stripes, I am healed; You were wounded for my transgressions & bruised for my iniquities; And I declare in the name of Jesus that my body will function in perfection; So every sickness, germ or disease that attempts to hinder my body must die instantly; Because I live the divine life; and I live in divine health; Because my tongue is my pen, and my words are my ink and whatever I say is so; And it is so; In my prescence, yokes are destroyed, burdens are removed in the name of Jesus. Sincerely, OCBF Member Sophia Wilsom
