Remembering our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans, December 1, 1949 - December 30, 2019

Thank you for loving the Evans family, and thank you for your ongoing prayers.

We absolutely adored our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans. To our church family, she was a loyal friend, a devoted sister, a wise mentor, and a spiritual mother. She was our example of faithfulness and obedience to God’s Word and His ministry. Our collection of photos doesn’t come close to conveying the full impact Sister Evans had on the life of our ministry.

    Hi Sister Lois,

    The following verses help me as I continually pray for you, Pastor Evans, your children, and the rest of the family. It is my prayer that you will also be greatly blessed by the Word of the Lord.

    Psalm 16:1, 5-9, 11

    1 Keep me safe, O God,
    for in You I take refuge.

    5 LORD, You have assigned me my portion and my cup;
    You have made my lot secure.

    6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.

    7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
    even at night my heart instructs me.

    8 I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand,
    I shall not be shaken.

    Good morning Sister Evans,

    God bless you on this rainy morning and I pray He will rain down His special blessings on you/yours this blessed day.
    I am praying that you will be encouraged by the beautiful Word of God on this blessed morning.

    Philippians 4:4-8

    4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
    5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

    6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

    7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.

    Thinking about you, pastor, and the rest of the family as I lift you up in prayer.

    To Tony,
    Please get Lois to the Mayo Clinic hospital in Rochester Minnesota. This is the No. 1 hospital in the world for cancer and rare diseases. I spent two months here a year ago at no cost at the American Cancer Hope Lodge. I am completely healed of my cancer. My wife and I met patients from all over the world with extremely difficult and rare cancer. Each patient stated they were confident with their treatment at Mayo. Many were misdiagnosed or not successfully treated. This included all those we met from places throughout the USA. These patients included medical physicians.. Billy Graham, Lew Holtz and many other names you would recognize come to Mayo for themselves and/or loved family members.

    I would like to pray for Mrs. Evans and the family that God will take hold of this storm and say peace be still and know that the family of Breaking of Day is praying 4 you and your family we’re praying that God will do a miracle in her and through the family to be strong and look to the hills from where your help comes from and know that people do see and hear your request and are praying for you. Just know that God can heal the unusual things that the doctor can’t or don’t understand we have a God just like that, He is a doctor for the sick. He is out of the normal thing that the world can’t understand.

      Mrs. Evans,
      You are not alone, I too have been in this type of storm for on and off for over 21 years. I’m still holding on, staying faithful in prayer and not giving up. Yes God will use medicine but His word is medicine too. I trust God and stand firm on His word. He is going to heal us. This is my prayer for you and the Evan’s family. I read all of Psalms 91 and Isaiah 41:10&11, when I feel a certain way. Take care and trust our heavenly Father.

    Sister Lois,
    Just thinking about you and your family as I thanked God for you and your complete healing. I read a few verses from Psalm 16 in the Voice Bible. The words of this prayer blessed my soul and may you also be blessed.
    Psalm 16
    “1. Protect me, God, for the only safety I know is found in the moments I seek You.
    2. I told You, Eternal One, “You are my Lord, for the only good I know in this world is found in You alone.”
    3. The beauty of faith-filled people encompasses me. They are true, and my heart is thrilled beyond measure.
    5. You, Eternal One, are my sustenance and my life-giving cup. In that cup, You hold my future and my eternal riches.
    6. My home is surrounded in beauty; You have gifted me with abundance and a rich legacy.
    7. I will bless the Eternal, whose wise teaching orchestrates my days and centers my mind at night.
    8. He is ever present with me; at all times He goes before me. I will not live in fear or abandon my calling because He stands at my right hand. ”

    May God bless you, your husband, children, siblings, and the rest of your family. May God grant each of you rest and sleep in the sweet peace of God tonight. He is with you and watching over you. He does not slumber nor sleep.

    He is here. He is here. God is right there with you. And oh how He Loves you so much. Remember we are praying with you and for you.

    Mrs Evans. GODs got this. He can and will perform miracles. I believe with all my soul you will be one of them. I’m new to church and GODs word. But it’s for me. A month ago I was told I had chronic kidney disease. They took me off certain meds I was on for a month and no bread or pasta. They also told me it was irreversible but treatable. I would know in a month how they were gonna treat it. Dialysis being on of the options. We all know you don’t last long if you do that. Anyway. I had my small group praying and a few family and friends. I went to the appointment this past week. And my kidney function has gone from a 38 – 40 to a 53% functioning. I don’t even have to have medication. Irreversible wasn’t in GODs vocabulary. So my point is if prayer can work for someone like me. It will definitely work for you. I ask that GODs will be done in my life everyday. God bless you and your family. May GOD keep you in his hand. Much love in my heart for you your family and OCBF for what it’s given me

    Even though it Rains on the Just as well as the unjust, we know Healing is the Children’s Bread. I ask in Faith, not doubting or Amiss that supernaturally God would send a Healing Virtue to you Mother Evans.     My daughter Lori is also fighting gallbladder cancer. She thought she had received complete healing but it came back in March. I have listened so many times to your daughter and her Bible studies. They have brought me much encouragement. My daughter is 48 a children’s pastor and just started two years ago a non profit called Empower Youth. She like you loves the Lord and is trusting him daily as she seeks other treatments. I always pray for you as I know firsthand what you are facing. God is faithful.

    We definitely adore our beautiful First Lady, sister Evans and my prayer this morning is from Psalm 139:8
    The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;Your mercy and loving kindness, O Lord, endure forever-forsake not the works of Your own hands.

    I am no longer asking our Heavenly Father for your healing, but I am thanking Him for it. My eyes of faith believe that through Jesus stripes your already healed.
