Remembering our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans, December 1, 1949 - December 30, 2019

Thank you for loving the Evans family, and thank you for your ongoing prayers.

We absolutely adored our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans. To our church family, she was a loyal friend, a devoted sister, a wise mentor, and a spiritual mother. She was our example of faithfulness and obedience to God’s Word and His ministry. Our collection of photos doesn’t come close to conveying the full impact Sister Evans had on the life of our ministry.

Feel free share your thoughts, prayers, and love below.
Thank you for your prayers.

May the Lord be with you and your family. May the Lord set out the pathway just for you.
I know the devine Shepherd will guide you.
    Psalm 25:5
“Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
I know you are trusting Him as you make each decision. May He continue to be with you and may you rest in the peace of God through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Father God, because You are a God of covenant we will persistently remind You through our prayers of what is rightfully Sister Evans. Your Word says through Jesus stripes she’s already healed. We stand on Your promises Lord, Your Word and promise of healing for our beautiful First Lady of Ocbf. You are a righteous God ; a God of Your Word and we thank You in advance for sister Evans miracle, in Jesus Name, Amen.

  • Vickie Fennix says:

Sister Evans, I would like to touch and agree with every prayer that has gone up for you. There is no doubt in my heart that Our Heavely Father has heard the cry’s of his people on your behalf, for his word declares that I hear the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man. I know that God has already begun a mighty healing on your behalf. God is not finish with you. God said, if there is any among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil, in the name of the Lord, James 5:14-15, and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, and the Lord will raise them up. Father we believe your word is true and we stand and believe your word today, we know that your word cannot return to you void, it has to do what you have declared. Father we have faith in you through your son Jesus, that we can ask whatever in Jesus name and you said you would do it, so Father we come in the name of Jesus asking you to heal Sister Lois! I ask believing and not doubting that your will be done. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Nothing is impossible with God and He is Jehovah Rophe. The words says God hears the prayers of the righteous. Though I have only been at OCBF for not quite three years, I have witnessed the grace and power which embody our First Lady. In concert with others here, I am praying and fasting to see God’s divine and merciful will manifest. Standing in agreement with the body of faith, I declare that God is able to deliver Sister Evans, and will answer our prayers. Nothing is impossible with God and we believe our sister friend, pastor’s partner in the advance of the kingdom and His glory will indeed answer the prayers of the faithful as we beseech Him who loves us, the Evans family and the cries of his beloved.

  • Robin wylie says:

Praying for God’s healing. I have kept this quote in mind as many of my friends and all of my family have faced illness and have found Victory in healing, and some Victory in Heaven. It brings comfort to submit to His will knowing Victory is ours.
“Affliction brings out graces that cannot be seen in a time of health. It is the treading of the grapes that brings out the sweet juices of the vine; so it is affliction that draws forth submission, weans us from the world, and complete rest in God. Use afflictions while you have them.”

  • Dear Sister Evans,

I am praying for complete healing for you. Thank you for being a role model for the many mothers and pastors wives you have encouraged over the years. I am one of them. I admire, love and honor you. May the good Lord bless you as only He can. He sends the rain and He sends the sunshine. There are blessings in both. I will leave you with a verse of Scripture that encouraged me as I when through severe trauma in 2011, “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.” (Psa. 27:13-14)

  • Janice Epps says:

This morning in prayer I’m led to Isaiah 40:31, we will wait upon the Lord because we expect Him to give strength and Isaiah 41:10, we will fear not as God upholds you with His victorious Right Hand. We trust God for your healing and ask Him for wisdom while we wait. This Epps family loves our first family of OCBF and are praying for you all daily.

  • Santina White says:

You may have to come out of retirement to testify the miracle that God is doing with your life! Pastor Hagee daughter (Tisha) was healed of cancer through faith, Dodie Osteen was healed of cancer through faith. By faith my uncle’s wife was healed of lymph node cancer, By faith my family member was given months to live and ended up living for years. By faith, My grandmother Virginia was diagnosed with cancer at a elderly age and lived to what the doctors believe to be 102. God kept my father when he had a stoke and is delivering him. Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days. You were heal before and like my favorite song says by Elevation “He will do it again, mountain are moved….”. I’m nothing big in the ministry, I just love hearing people testify of God.

  • Sheila Chappelle says:

    First Lady Lois Evan’s
We are praying for God to work a miracle as he hears our prayers for your health and well being. We know that through him all things work together for the good and that He can do all things more than we can ever imagine or know. We pray for peace and calm at this time for you as well as for your entire family.
    We love you
    Keith and sheila chappelle

    • Brett Meyer says:

      Dear Sister Lois,
I’m in agreement with my wife Laura’s inspiration, that your healing will be another way God brings many to salvation and usher in what Pastor and we have been Praying, to bring Pentecost to OCBF, and many other gatherings. We thank God for reminding you, and preparing you for all the purpose He’s planned for you. Love & blessings, Praying without ceasing.

  • Darryl Betts says:

    To the Evans Family
I just wanted to share a scripture Isaiah 41:10
Thank you !!! HEAVENLY FATHER for taking cancer away! In JESUS CHRIST NAME!!!

    • Michele Smith says:

I am reaching out in prayer of agreement for our Father and God of possibilities to do what He is well able to do for our dear sister, Dr. Lois Evans for total and complete healing in Jesus Name! He said NO GOOD THING will He withhold from them who walk uprightly. I came here in June 2018 to join this fellowship of believers after visiting in April 2018, (my sudden termination of 10 years employment February 21, 2018) my daughter receiving a long awaited promotion through her company from Wilmington Delaware to Dallas Texas. They covered my expenses to come here and she mentioned to me Tony Evans church was here! I’d listened for years to urban alternative, didn’t know where the church was. We visited and when I sat down I immediately knew I was in my seat. My husband and I preparing our home for sale because he was sick and my termination were looking for God’s leading brought me here (21 1/2 hour drive). God has called me as a PRAYER WARRIOR and here is where He has called me to be. HEALING is good thing and is the POSSIBILITY that’s right next to the impossible report given. I believe God! It’s no coincidence we are at this time of celebration that God is doing some amazing things! God be glorified!
      In HIS Love

  • Beatrice Ross says:

    Dear First Lady,
    1 Peter 4:12-13
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceedingly joy.
Your healing has been completed in heaven and we are calling it down on earth. My spirit has confirmed it and by faith it is done in Jesus name. Amen and Amen! We have the victory hallelujah!

  • Ellie Washington says:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do give to you as the world gives. Do not let
your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
    John 14:27

God bless you. Praying for you, Pastor, children, grand/great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sr. A. Evans, and the whole family. Please be encouraged as all of you trust God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Love to all.

    • Theresa says:

Dr. Evans, We are fervently praying for you and trust God’s will for your life. I just left Mobile on Saturday after witnessing what God can do as Priscilla spoke and Anthony sang. We serve and you serve an Almighty God Who has never left you nor forsaken you! He is the same God yesterday and forever more! You are stronger than cancer and God is Bigger than any sickness you or I will ever experience! We love you and love your family! Stay encouraged!
