Remembering our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans, December 1, 1949 - December 30, 2019

Thank you for loving the Evans family, and thank you for your ongoing prayers.

We absolutely adored our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans. To our church family, she was a loyal friend, a devoted sister, a wise mentor, and a spiritual mother. She was our example of faithfulness and obedience to God’s Word and His ministry. Our collection of photos doesn’t come close to conveying the full impact Sister Evans had on the life of our ministry.

Feel free share your thoughts, prayers, and love below.
Thank you for your prayers.

  • Elizabeth Ndirangu says:

    My Name is Elizabeth Ndirangu from Kenya. I have been following this family since the time Priscilla acted in the Movie – War Room. I feel part of the family as I have continued to watch all the online videos on family get together, ministry of the word, online interviews with Dr. Lois and her Children, including the one on serving together where the whole family are talking about the influence what Dr. Tony Evans and Lois Evans has impacted in their lives. I admire the godly principles that this family has carried along since they were young family. I always admire and love Dr Lois Evans for her calm demeanor and her great counsel. I come from a broken family and whenever i see these family I miss what a wholesome family looks like.

    Mom, You are not here but with the Lord. Though we are mourning, you are rejoicing with your Maker and Savior Jesus Christ. You ran the race and kept the Faith and now is your our Father. We miss you but dont miss the world.

  • Rev Ifueko Ebhota says:

    Many prayers going forth for this beautiful family. I’ve never met Mrs. Lois Evans but have been a devoted follower of her anointed daughter Priscilla Shirer. My father who was also a Pastor loved to follow Dr. Tony Evans’ ministry. I feel a part of this family. Though Mrs. Evans physically is not with us any longer she will forever be connected with us spiritually until all of God’s saints meet again. Her beauty, love, guidance and wisdom will be missed dearly however, her legacy is active and alive and is making a major impact in the kingdom of God! We Love you Evans’ family and know that God will grant you heavenly peace and comfort during this time.
    Prayerfully,

    I want to thank Dr. Lois Evan for being a true role model for women on how to be a true woman of God. I had the opportunity to attend one of Dr. Lois Women’s Conference and I must say it was very up-lifting and a wonderful spiritual experience being part of so many wonderful and spiritual Godly Women, getting to know and learn what God wants for our lives as Women. I know Dr. Lois that you will be missed, but your legacy will continue at Oak Cliff Bible Church. You are know with God, and that is the best place anyone could every be. • Cecilia Jenkins says:

      From the moment that I first met Dr. Lois Evans, I witnessed a warmth, graciousness and fellowship with her in the Lord Jesus Christ. I was blessed to be greeted by her when I attended the trip to Israel with her and Dr. Tony Evans ministry. It was a joy to observe her as she interacted with the tour group and her many moments with her husband, Dr. Tony Evans. She prayed, laughed, worshipped and sang so beautifully along with us. You could see the glistening in her eyes walking in the land of our Lord Jesus Christ. We heard DR. Evans preach and teach as we went to the tour sites. She had a quiet peace and gracefulness.

      Then, I was blessed again to tour along with them when we traveled to the Southern Caribbean cruise. We sang and worshipped to the music ministry of Mr. Alvin Slaughter and his family, and of course enjoyed and were touched with the preaching of DR. Tony Evans. We rocked the boat with the joy of Jesus. Visits to Oak Cliff were never complete until we walked into the hospitality room and were greeted by her and DR. Evans. What a joy and blessing this has been. I also read her books and heard her powerful messages and speaking engagements. She always looked so pretty and I admired that in her. Still had time to prepare herself, no matter what “Season of life she was in.”

      I thank the Lord for having met her and one thing that I can remember. Her smile! Her joy! Her love! So pleasant…kind… so beautiful.

      Thank you Lord for the joy and memory of personally meeting Mrs. Lois Evans.

      See you in Paradise!!

    Proverbs 31:19-31
    Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character
    A wife of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than rubies.
    Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.
    She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
    She selects wool and flax
    and works with eager hands.
    She is like the merchant ships,
    bringing her food from afar.
    She gets up while it is still night;
    she provides food for her family
    and portions for her female servants.
    She considers a field and buys it;
    out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
    She sets about her work vigorously;
    her arms are strong for her tasks.
    She sees that her trading is profitable,
    and her lamp does not go out at night.
    In her hand she holds the distaff
    and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
    She opens her arms to the poor
    and extends her hands to the needy.
    When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
    for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
    She makes coverings for her bed;
    she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
    Her husband is respected at the city gate,
    where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
    She makes linen garments and sells them,
    and supplies the merchants with sashes.
    She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come.
    She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
    She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
    Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
    “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
    Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
    Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

    • Proverbs Ryan says:

      Praying for your family! May our gracious Lord be your comforter in this time. I don’t know Louis personally, but I have watched her and her daughters on YouTube, her wisdom, her humility with such grace and authentic. Her love of God was very evident, when a woman fears the Lord, there is something beautiful about her inside and out. She shall be praised.
