Remembering our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans, December 1, 1949 - December 30, 2019

Thank you for loving the Evans family, and thank you for your ongoing prayers.

We absolutely adored our First Lady, Dr. Lois Evans. To our church family, she was a loyal friend, a devoted sister, a wise mentor, and a spiritual mother. She was our example of faithfulness and obedience to God’s Word and His ministry. Our collection of photos doesn’t come close to conveying the full impact Sister Evans had on the life of our ministry.

Feel free share your thoughts, prayers, and love below.
Thank you for your prayers.

I love and miss Dr. Lois Evans even though I’ve never met her in person. She impacted my life through social media. One day as I clicked on Instagram to check on something my son had posted., I see a direct message from Lois Evans. She said she was scrolling down the page but God would not allow her to scroll pass my name . She said God had given her instructions for me and if I follow them God would bless me. She said God wanted me to pray more and gave me several scriptures. She said God said to fast each day til noon and pray those scriptures. It definitely changed my life. I joined her Pastor’s Wives Group. I love her. Praying for the family.

Mrs. Evans will be greatly missed. She was the epitome of grace, elegance but above all a true Proverbs 31 woman. I have admired her love for the Lord, her husband, her children and her family for several years. I feel honored that I was able to attend the DFJ conferences in which I was able to hear her speak about the true meaning of living for Jesus. Mrs. Evans, thank you for the legacy you leave behind. Continued prayers for the Evans family… may the peace of our sweet Jesus cover you all.

  • Thomas & Jacqueline Davis says:

Dear Tony and the Evans children and grandchildren. We love you all and feel the pain of physical separation from your dear wife, mom and grandmother; and our friend Lois. Tony, we had no idea when we met you all in the early 1980’s at Sandy Cove that the impact of your lives and ministry would knit us together in a friendship that extends to this day even to your larger family. We have shared many happy moments with the family on cruises, trips, concerts and various other ministry occasions, as well as somber moments as experienced over the recent months. We are so sorry we cannot attend the Homegoing service as much as we desire to be with you to show our support and just to hug once again. Unfortunately family illness prevents us from being there. Know that we love you and have prayed for God’s comfort, healing and clear direction as you continue serving the King of Kings, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To the OCBF family, this is a heavy blow as First Lady Lois Evans is physically gone, but we thank God her legacy will continue through her children and ministries continuing to impact the Kingdom of God and His agenda. Tony, you are a true follower of Christ as demonstrated through your teaching and preaching of the Word, in the way you have raised your children, and in impacting the world for Christ. God bless you brother, and may your testimony continue to be an example of a Kingdom Man as Lois is truly a Kingdom Woman.

I am grateful that I was able to meet and speak with Lady Evans on several occasions since joining OCBF in 2014. Her appearance was always impeccable and she carried herself in a humble and beautiful manner. I appreciate the events that I was able to attend that she was a part of for women. She will be missed, but we thank God that she is now present with the Lord and all pain has ceased! Glory to God in the Highest!

To the Evans Family, we share your grief. My wife and I memorialized her mother on December 21, 2019. God did something that was not expected but He did it in a miraculous way. My mother-n-law slept away. God answers prayers. We grieve with you because we understand and we will continue to pray for you all.

    • Pam says:

When my mom passed from cancer I felt lost. I felt empty. I felt like I lost myself. My nephew who was reacquainted with Jesus, really got to learn and know Jesus and was there to help his family pick up their broken hearts and teach us who Jesus really is. Thank you God for him. From there I found Kwave 107.9 radio in Los Angeles Calif and began listening to the many programs and of course a favorite Tony Evan’s. Love, love his teachings! Love his explanation of the bible. Love how he tries so hard to make sure we all accept and know how we need Jesus! I know what it’s like to see someone you love be ripped apart from cancer. I know what’s it’s like to wait for a selfish miracle frorm God to keep them here more on Earth for us. And that moment when its final and it’s over. Death is death. No matter the position or knowledge or relationship we have with Heaven it will forever be hard to accept. We humans will never understand nor want to. Cry for however long you need to. Keep talking to God cause he will get you to each hour. One day, and may it come fast, we will all be reunited again!

  • Jesse Taylor says:

Praying for you all as a family! Praying that God gives strength and guidance during this time. Prayers to Pastor Evans and the family!
