Under general supervision, perform complex administrative duties and coordination of Women Ministry tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • All Employees are expected to commit to Christ and the philosophy, ministry, and vision of OCBF and help meet the church family’s spiritual, social, emotional, and physical needs. This position provides prayer, spiritual assistance, and ministerial support to co-workers and others they meet. This includes but is not limited to being available to pray with employees, convey Biblical principles during staff meetings and church activities, and know and ensure that the church’s mission and vision are integrated into all aspects of the department’s task. As the Employee Handbook outlines, all staff must live a life that models the church’s core values. To further the church’s mission of disciplining the church to impact the world, they must be involved in spiritual discipleship while performing the essential job requirements.
  • Coordinate with all internal OCBF staff regarding WNC (Women’s Night Connect), Desperate for Jesus (DFJ) and LOL (Life on Life) plans and needs.
  • Serve as a liaison for SPO and special events to ensure decisions are communicated, guest invitations are originated, and communication flows smoothly between the volunteer committee and Women’s Fellowship leaders.
  • Curate the creation, production, organization and management of various newsletters, social media, visual brand elements, and documentation to serve the needs of the Women’s Ministry.
  • Provide hospitality for guest of Women’s Ministry by sending thank you cards, gifts, etc.
  • Serve as a point of contact and assist in maintaining the ministry event calendar for Women’s Ministry while managing various email accounts.
  • Lead the teams and monthly meetings for LOL and WNC.
  • Organize and maintain the database for Women’s volunteers and LOL leadership and service teams.
  • Respond to all phone calls, web updates and connect emails in a timely fashion.
  • Scribe and compile program details, meeting notes, and proposals during ministry meetings.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports and other papers for consideration and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain the budget for LOL and WNC.
  • Coordinate all food service needs for LOL and WNC.
  • Transcribe weekly sermon outline and audio notes and send to appropriate parties.
  • Manage the development process for the weekly study guide and write it monthly.
  • Review and Edit Study Guide for SPO review and approval.
  • Place all SPO events in Service U and Planning Center (excluding conferences).
  • Complete EAE forms for all SPO major events.
  • Respond to web requests/connect forms/online inquiries.
  • Curate and maintain list of the Sr. Pastor’s sermons by year and update the manuscript list.
  • Interact with volunteers, members and various staff to communication ministry needs.
  • File and retrieve organizational documents, records, and reports as necessary.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business or ministry-related experience; three to five years of administrative assistant experience, two of which must have included organization, coordination, and performance duties as outlined. Microsoft Certification required. Must be able to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
