As a senior-level marketing leader, the responsibilities consist of developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the ministry’s overall mission, vision, and goals. Responsible for overseeing the marketing team, managing the budget, and collaborating with other departments to drive awareness and achieve the ministry’s objectives by performing the duties personally or through others.

  • All Employees are expected to commit to Christ and the philosophy, ministry, and vision of OCBF and help meet the church family’s spiritual, social, emotional, and physical needs. This position provides prayer, spiritual assistance, and ministerial support to co-workers and others they meet. This includes but is not limited to being available to pray with employees, convey Biblical principles during staff meetings and church activities, and know and ensure that the church’s mission and vision are integrated into all aspects of the department’s task. As the Employee Handbook outlines, all staff must live a life that models the church’s core values. To further the church’s mission of disciplining the church to impact the world, they must be involved in spiritual discipleship while performing the essential job requirements.
  • Ensures comprehensive and cohesive branding, marketing, and communications strategies for church-wide initiatives such as Sunday and Wednesday services, Men’s and Women’s Fellowship programming, and Special Events. Plans, implements, and oversees promotion and advertising efforts to drive engagement, create a visual identity, and build ministry awareness.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to achieve long-term ministry goals, including market research, ministry analysis, and target audience identification.
  • Design and obtain all pertinent information to develop the Annual Church Booklet.
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals across various functions, such as digital marketing, content marketing, social media, public relations, and creative development.
  • Lead the ideation, development, and execution of high-impact marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social, print, and events.
  • Oversee and allocate marketing budgets effectively, tracking the results and ensuring optimal resource allocation across projects.
  • Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor or designee to ensure the mission, vision, goals, and strategy are consistent with the church’s overall direction.
  • Works with the Lead Pastor on strategic planning, community mobilization (local and national), and nonprofit trends and innovations.
  • Develop a strategic marketing plan to maximize the growth of OCBF and its affiliates in membership, ministry, and revenue, including innovative strategies for a grassroots movement of the Kingdom Agenda ministry philosophy in local and national markets.
  • Protect and enhance the ministry’s brand image through consistent messaging and positioning across all marketing materials.
  • Manage all media relationships and interactions with the Lead Pastor’s Office and oversee media coverage of the Church’s ministries, programs, and affiliates.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Media, Kingdom Collegiate Academy and The Turn•Around Agenda to ensure alignment with marketing strategies and achieve ministry objectives.
  • Stay abreast of ministry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic marketing decisions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the initiatives’ effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments to marketing strategies.
  • Communicate marketing plans, results, and insights to the senior leadership team.
  • Use surveys, evaluations, and data collection (letters, notes, and documented phone calls) to determine customer satisfaction and ministry growth.
  • Contract, if necessary, with an external evaluator to analyze and interpret data collected through surveys and evaluations.
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses and continuously pursue training and development opportunities to build knowledge and skills.
  • Integrate biblical principles with organizational management.
  • Complete Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship’s leadership requirements as the department outlines.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manage staff who supervise employees and the kingdom servants in the department. Is responsible for these units’ overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities by the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Three to five years of proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies across diverse channels. Deep understanding of marketing principles, including digital and content marketing, social media, and branding. Four years of experience in negotiating contracts.
