Department: Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF)
Perform inventory maintenance and control, coordinate Business Center operations and assist with the coordination of staff and volunteer duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing prayer, spiritual assistance, and ministerial support to co-workers and others they meet while working. This includes but is not limited to being available to pray with employees, leading and participating in Bible study with team members, conveying Biblical principles during staff meetings and church activities, and knowing and ensuring that the church’s mission and vision are integrated into all aspects of the department’s task. As the Employee Handbook outlines, all staff must live a life that models the church’s core values. To further the church’s mission of discipling the church to impact the world, they must be involved in spiritual discipleship while performing the essential job requirements.
- Open and Close of the bookstore to include checking the displays, preparing the register, establishing computer connectivity, reconciliation of receipts and preparing deposits for accounting.
- Track the inventory, including inventory audits, ordering and stocking of inventory and ensuring that the inventory is maintained at an acceptable level.
- Coordinate sales promotional activities and merchandising of the Bookstore.
- Responsible for oversight of the inventory component of the Bookstore Manager Software System.
- Prioritize and distribute specific staff assignments, duties and tasks as instructed by the Bookstore Director.
- Provide oversight of the bookstore staff and volunteers, including training on the Bookstore Manager Software System and overseeing the completion of assigned projects.
- Coordinate the fulfillment of print jobs and shipping requests in Business Center while maintaining timeless and quality assurance.
- Operate high volume print equipment, identify equipment problems and perform minor repairs or arrange for service.
- Oversee the receiving and distribution of ministry shipments.
- Ensure compliance with established record keeping, sales, and security procedures and practices
- Provide an excellent level of customer service to all bookstore patrons.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assist with the directing of staff and/or volunteers in the Bookstore as assigned by the Bookstore Director. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws as assigned by the Director of the Bookstore.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school; two years retail and customer service experience; knowledge of retail sales and operations; computerized inventory systems; supervising others; dealing with customers and ability to make decisions.
